Workshop on Traditional Chinese Medicine

15 Aug 2011

On 24 August DHI co-hosts a workshop, which will address the challenges and opportunities involved in the use and approval of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) derivatives in Western countries. Issues related to medicine, treatment, food ingredients and functional foods will be addressed.

The workshop will open with a key note lecture by Michael Pontoppidan Lund, a Danish doctor of Chinese medicine graduated from the university hospitals in Nanjing and Nanchang. Presentations will also be given by representatives from the industry, as well as by university researchers giving examples of how TCM is being studied using Western research traditions.

We will end the programme with a joint discussion of the opportunities and the challenges for TCM on the Danish and European markets.
