Examples of substances with new harmonised classifications include:
- geraniol; (2E)-3,7-dimethylocta2,6-dien-1-ol, a common fragrance
- MIBT (2-methyl-1,2-benzothiazol-3(2H)-one), preservative, e.g. in biocidal products
An overview of the list of harmonised classification of hazardous substances is available in Annex VI to Regulation (EU) 2020/1182, which amends the CLP Regulation.
The new and revised classifications will apply from 1 March 2022. It is possible to classify and label substances and mixtures according to the revised classifications already now.
