Overview of endocrine disruptors in the EU

The Danish EPA has launched a new website of endocrine disrupting chemicals within the EU. The website also includes substances under evaluation for endocrine disrupting properties.

Substances with endocrine disrupting properties are included in many different products and may harm both human health and the environment. The new website creates an overview across EU regulations for REACH, biocides, pesticides and cosmetics.

The website comprises three lists:

  • List I: substances identified as endocrine disruptors at EU level
  • List II: substances under evaluation for endocrine disruption under an EU legislation
  • List III: substances considered to have endocrine disrupting properties at the national level in one of the participating Member States, but not currently regulated in the EU

The new webpage is hosted by the Danish Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and supported by national authorities in Belgium, France, the Netherlands and Sweden.
